Before beginning Barwon Nature Adventures, Sean was a teacher for 15 years. Teaching in the areas of Outdoor Education, Physical Education (and Maths) at several schools including Nelson Park Special School in Geelong. His favourite time was always teaching outdoors and running camps. Sean has specific industry qualifications in instructing/guiding a range of different outdoor activities.
In 2022, Sean decided to combine his passion for the outdoors and working with the diverse community to help provide fun and meaningful experiences for people. In early 2023, after some hard work, Barwon Nature Adventures was born. Sean loves to introduce people to new places, new activities and help people access the outdoors in any way they choose.
In his spare time, Sean enjoys participating in a wide range of outdoor activities locally and further afield. Sean can often be found rock climbing at a crag, surfing the waves of the Surf Coast, quietly fishing a river or hitting the slopes during Winter.
Kate is an experienced teacher in physical and outdoor education and also a coach with her own triathlon coaching business. She has been a member of Barwon Nature Adventures from early on, working with a wide variety of participants in different activities.
Kate loves being active, especially surfing at the beach and mountain bike riding in particular. Kate has experience running different programs and experiences all around the state and the country.
